A Traditional Methodist Community

Supported Missions

Broad Street Church actively supports a number of community focused missions whose objectives align with those of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; sharing the love of God through compassionate action. Through these missions, we strive to bring comfort, joy, and hope to those in need, regardless of where they live or what their situation is. If you feel called to contribute to or participate in any of these missions, contact Broad Street Church or click on one of the mission links below.

The mission of Bridge of Hearts is engaging the community to celebrate, care for and love our youngest and most vulnerable citizens. We do this by recognizing children's birthdays with gifts, high-interest, age-appropriate books and party supplies through our Celebrating Birthdays program, and encouraging a positive self-image through basic hygiene and other care items through our Caring for Children program. Finally, we provide homeless and impoverished middle/high school pregnant mothers with nursery items for their babies through our Caring for Babies program.

For more information visit the Bridge of Hearts website or send an e-mail to Linda Morris, Executive Director, Bridge of Hearts.

Little Angels Doll Cuddle Therapy, is a program to bring comfort and joy to Alzheimer’s patients. Cuddle works by engaging the patients with baby dolls, and stuffed dogs, and cats. Giving them something to care for, love, and cuddle, brings back special memories that can help them regulate their emotions. It also gives them purpose. Even some patients who have not been alert, or talking, will become alert and interested in the babies, or pets. Volunteers and donations are always appreciated. We are thankful for the continued support of the Mooresville Broad Street Church family for donating time and money to, this special mission.

Nutritious food, shelter, clean water, a decent education, access to health care, and a safe environment. All fundamental for a life free from hunger and poverty, yet millions of people can't afford them. Heifer International is working to change that by partnering with local farmers and business owners in 19 countries. Heifer International supports communities as they mobilize and envision their futures, providing training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce, and connections to market to increase sales and incomes.
